Governor Dodge State Park is near the city of Dodgeville, Wisconsin. The state park is named after Henry Dodge, who is known for being the first governor of Wisconsin. The trees in Governor Dodge State Park are mostly hickory and oak with a combination of various other topiaries and shrubs around the park. Pine Cliff State Natural Area, which is within Dodge State Park, is full of a pine community of all three species, red, white, and jack, occur on the sandstone cliffs. There are also very moss and There is a lot of different kinds of wildlife, including wild turkeys, red and gray foxes, beavers, muskrats and more!
