Parliament Hill, which is known coloquially as The Hill, is the area located on the southern banks of Ottawa River that is home to Canada’s parliament buildings. About 3 million visitors flock to the area each year to enjoy Parliament Hill’s Gothic revival style and its national architectural symbols. There are various monuments and statues around the area, some of which are of Queen Victoria and The Famous Five. The buildings are now undergoing a $1 billion renovation project that will last until 2020.
