Ailsa Craig Island – Travel Photo of the Moment

The Travel Photo of the Moment is of Ailsa Craig Island

Ailsa Craig is an island located in the outer Firth of Clyde, Scotland, an uninhabited island formed by the volcanic plug of an extinct volcano. The island is historically significant to Catholics, many of whom escaped the Scottish Reformation during the 16th century by fleeing to Ailsa Craig. Today, the island is a sanctuary for birds of all kinds.
