Battery Park has served a place in New York City’s history for more than 200 years. Originally the Castle Garden area served as the first immigrant depot before Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty. The park now gives you not only a view of the past but also gives you an incredible view of the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island.
