Romantic Destinations in Los Angeles

Los Angeles may seem like the perfect place for young rock and rollers, start struck stalkers, and families to vacation but it’s actually an excellent place for couples looking to add a little bit of romance to their life. In a city of angels at least one of them has to be cupid.

Downtown Hollywood

A stroll through Hollywood is a must for any visitor to Hollywood and even better if you’re holding hands with a loved one. Spend the day shopping, dining and the many restaurants, and spend the night rocking the hottest nightclubs. But the most obvious attraction in Hollywood is the Hollywood Sign which has become its own sort of romantic icon, signifying a dream for many and broken dreams for almost as many. Strolling down the street you’ll notice the Walk of Fame with more than 2000 people, animals, fictional, characters and some companies and buildings honored on the 3.5 mile walk. Look for your favorite stars as you walk down the strip. Another popular attraction in Hollywood for visitors is Grauman’s Chinese Theater, purportedly the most famous theater in the world.  Originally established in 1927, the theater was the brainchild of Sid Grauman who knew how to create a spectacle. Rising 90 feet into the air, the roof commands attention of passersby. The exterior and the interior feature Chinese architecture and artifacts but the most noted feature is not Chinese at al. Grauman came up with the idea to have the stars put their handprints and foot prints in wet cement to immortalize them during publicized ceremonies in the Forecourt of the Stars.

Sunset Ranch

Take a break from the city and relax at Sunset Ranch on horseback. The romantic two our tour takes you and your loved one through Griffith Park with its scenic views of the city of LA, the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island. The view atop a horse from Mt. Hollywood is one you will never forget. And the price is more than reasonable.

Griffith Observatory

Speaking of Griffith Park, one of the highlights of the park is Griffith Observatory. Almost as famous as the stars themselves, Griffith Observatory is an icon of Los Angeles and a national leader in astronomy. Resting on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood, it’s visible from many parts of the city and is therefore pretty hard to miss. One of the highlights of the Griffith Observatory is the Samuel Oschin Planetarium. The new dome and the laser digital star projection system turns the 300 seat auditorium into an evening under the stars for you and your sweetheart.

Private Flight

Take a romantic flight in a helicopter or airplane over the city and see the sights from a truly unique vantage point. Turn the experience into a romantic getaway of a life time and take the dinner and helicopter tour combination or helicopter tour and wine tasting experience at a private hilltop vineyard in Malibu. These are romantic experiences that will leave you with priceless memories and a story that will make all of your friends jealous. This is also a perfect way to pop a certain question.
