Romantic Destinations in Las Vegas

Las Vegas doesn’t appear to be a romantic city at first blush but the city actually is steeped in romantic activities, if it wasn’t then it’s doubtful that their quickie wedding business would be so popular. Look beyond the glitz and glamour of the high rolling stakes and poker tables and underneath the surface of Las Vegas you can find your own little romantic hideaway.

Bellagio Fountains

The Fountains of Bellagio are a unique watery oasis amid the desert and gambling hubbub. Once the music starts to play and the first spout of water erupts from the pool you feel like you’re whisked away to another place. Free fountain shows run at least every half hour, running every fifteen minutes in the later hours of the day. Each show is an amazing array of technical wizardry which goes largely unnoticed by the crowds, instead they stand transfixed, eyes glued to the incredible musical dance of the water into the sky. The songs chosen to accompany the dancing waters including opera, classical and Broadway hits which rotate regularly to give you variety from upbeat hopping tunes to melodic romance.

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens

Bellagio doesn’t let the romance end on the sidewalk, inside the hotel the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens offer a romantic retreat from the heat outside. These breathtaking gardens put nature on display in some of the most beautiful artistic collections you’ll ever see. The garden is recreated every season, 140 expert horticulturists arrange the gazebos, bridges, ponds and water features to highlight the show stopping blooming foliage. Las Vegas Wedding

Having a wedding in Las Vegas may not seem romantic to some people but what’s more romantic than a wedding and it is what you make it. Obviously Las Vegas has earned a reputation for its quickie weddings, drive thru weddings, and wedding officiated by Elvis impersonators but there is more romance for those looking. There are quaint little chapels that can accommodate a traditional wedding with all of the fairytale trappings, just pared down. There are outdoor weddings in beautiful gardens or set in the desert with majestic mountains in the background. Or you can select a Las Vegas wedding that fits your personalities with a wedding on horseback at night in a helicopter or the ubiquitous Elvis wedding.
