On Thursday March 19th we asked “How is the Economy Affecting Your Vacation Plans This Year” on twitter,we had 115 respondents answer here were the results:
[ 11% (13 votes) ] – I won’t be taking a vacation this year
[ 14% (16 votes) ] – I will be looking for local vacation spots this year
[ 35% (40 votes) ] – I will be looking for bargain vacation options this year
[ 27% (31 votes) ] – My vacation won’t be much different this year
[ 13% (15 votes) ] – I will take more vacations this year

From interviewing experts, to asking around, to traveling a lot, I think this is pretty reflective of reality. Folks who love traveling already are still going, but may be researching (or continue using) more budget-friendly options.
