Lake George: Revolutionary War Drags On as British Soldiers Blast Dude With Cannon in Upstate New York
Most people think the American Revolutionary War ended with the surrender of General Lord Cornwallis at Yorktown in 1781, but there appear to be a handful of British holdouts still battling from a fort in in upstate New York. Fee wars replace fare wars
"Forget fare wars, since ticket prices are rising. Now there are fee wars." That’s the word from The New York Times, where reporter Micheline Maynard assesses the new fee-filled aviation landscape. Of course, there are the relatively new checked-bag fees. Those fees have led to gripes from many travelers, especially from "non-elite" fliers who don’t travel often.
