For most people, time spent on an airplane is time that’s just necessary to get from A to B, either so they can start a vacation, meet some business colleagues or simply go home – in other words, most people don’t enjoy it too much. Several surveys released this week seem to point to the fact that it’s not just the passengers who are unhappy, either – the staff can find it a bit of a drag, too.
What Flight Attendants Say About Us
If you want to try and make your flight a happier experience, try keeping the flight attendants happy. An international survey of flight attendants asked them to reveal what really annoyed them about passenger behavior and their answers gave quite a few insights – both to things I didn’t realize were so annoying, through to things I can’t believe other passengers have done.
For example, some passengers “double order” drinks – that is, order a second drink from a different flight attendant simply because their first one doesn’t arrive quite quickly enough. A lot of flight attendants have also complained about passengers who don’t take their headphones off when the flight attendant approaches their seat, obviously with a question – and then they just say “What?” without making any effort to listen more carefully. Other annoyances included passengers who ordered a special meal but changed their mind at the last minute, and those who enter restricted crew areas without the permission of staff. Unbelievably, apparently there are also passengers who leave the bathroom door open while they’re using the toilet.
What Passengers Say About Airlines
On the flipside, a survey on the greatest flying frustrations of passengers showed that in general, people are more frustrated by their fellow passengers than they are by the flight attendants. For example, problems such as the passenger in front putting their seat back during a short flight, being “trapped” in a non-aisle seat because the passenger next to you is asleep, passengers near you with poor personal hygiene and sitting next to a too-talkative passenger who doesn’t get the hint that you don’t want to chat all rated highly in this survey. On the other hand, “rude flight staff” was the only flight attendant related issue and was reported by just 7% of those surveyed.
The biggest problem, however, was flight delays. More than half of the people surveyed said that late or cancelled flights were the most frustrating issue they had with airlines.
