Lisbon Hostel Takes Top Spot at the HOSCARs : Kathika Travel Website

Many budget travelers around the world stay in hostels. They are a great way to save on housing costs while traveling. And though some of the accommodations can be less than desirable, there are actually some very good hostels to choose from.

In Dublin, Ireland last night the winners of the annual HOSCARs (Hostelworld Customer Annual Ratings) were announced. The HOSCARs recognizes the best hostels in the world each year.

Perhaps surprisingly, 4 of the top ten hostels in the world named are located in Lisbon, Portugal, with the Travellers House hostel taking the top spot. Selected from over 20,000 properties around the globe, the winners were voted for by over 800,000 customers who reviewed and rated the hostels based on character, security, location, staff fun and cleanliness.
