At the beginning of every year, the travel media industry likes to predict the next big travel trends for the coming year. Whether they make these predictions come true by the simple act of publishing them or whether they’re based in sound research is perhaps open to question, but the trend list making the most impact as we hit 2008 is a list of 53 Places to Go in 2008, published widely across the globe. The list is a pretty interesting one, and here are some of the highlights of the predicted hot travel destinations for the year:

  • Laos - Since anyone who’s anyone has already been to nearby Vietnam and Cambodia, Laos is going to step up to the plate this year.
  • Tunisia - For a north African holiday, Morocco used to be a fait accompli, but the smaller nation of Tunisia is getting more attention.
  • Mid-Beach, Miami - With a bunch of resorts re-opening in 2008 after renovations, Mid-Beach is set to out-do South Beach this year.
  • Quito, Ecuador - No longer just a stop-over to the Galapagos Islands, Quito has been renovated and re-born.
  • Buenos Aires - They say Argentina’s capital will be the new party capital of South America, and are opening big hotels to prove it.
  • Detroit - Speaking of hotels, there’s a big boom in Detroit where more visitors are expected in 2008.

I have been working as a free lance guide for europeans in Tunisia since 1990.Through the various tours and excursions that I have made in the country I have acquired an important experience ,but I have also been able to know the rich natural and historical sites of the country,,which is not most of the time included in ordinary tours.
Traveling with individuals who wish to live the authentic culture of the country makes a holiday a unique experience and something fascinating.
