After a year spent sleeping, tasting, and observing over 60,000 hotels around the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the Carribean, the American Automobile Association has announced its 100 five-diamond winners for 2008. These hotels represent to height of excellent service, comfortable accommodations, and overall resort experience.
New to the list this year are the following resorts:
- The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician in Scottsdale, Arizona
- St. Regis Resort Monarch Beach in Dana Point, California
- The Venetian in Las Vegas
- The Umstead Resort in Cary, North Carolina
- Four Seasons Resort in Whistler, British Columbia
- Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman
- Fairmount Mayakoba on Mexico’s Yucatan coast
- J W Marriott Hotel & Spa
