Each locale is graded on its culture, activity, weather, and social characteristics; the higher the score, the better according to its importance to you.
For example, if you are a sun goddess and warm sunny weather is imperative to the fun factor on your vacation, going somewhere like San Francisco or Reykjavik, Iceland, cities that have low weather scores, really wouldn’t makes sense. Fly Solo doesn’t focus at all on the travel arrangements for the destination; instead it focuses on what makes each locale fabulous for single female travelers and suggestions for fun filled activities that allow you to fraternize with locals and tourists. My favorite feature of the book is the cute flirty phrases that may come in handy when you are visiting some of the international destinations featured. When in Rome, there might be an occasion when you want to say “Ho sentito bene il bacio italiano degli uomini” which translates to I heard Italian men kiss well. Fly Solo is a unique travel guide for a single woman of any age, and it shows you that independence is a quality to embrace and take advantage of.
