The Travel Photo of the Day is of Mount Shuksan
Mount Shuksan is a peak located in the North Cascades National Park, which is in turn located in Whatcom County, Washington. Because of its prime location, Mount Shuksan is one of the most frequently-photographed peaks in the Cascade Range, especially because of the presence of Picture Lake and the photo opportunities created by the mountain’s reflection on the lake. Its name derives from the Skagit Indian word meaning “rocky and dangerous.”
