The Bagan Kingdoms of modern-day Myanmar date back to the early 2nd century, a civilization that is now most remembered by its stunning temples. More than 13,000 pagodas and other religious structures were built by the people of the Bagan Kingdom throughout its history. Today, 2217 temples are recorded as standing today and they stand as some of the most impressive archeological structures in Asia.
