Delphi is best-known for the oracle that became dedicated to Apollo during the classical period and would have served to advise any people that visited the oracle. Today, Delphi is an archeological site that attracts thousands of visitors each year, many of whom come to explore the rich history of the area. In the Greek world, Delphi was also considered the center of the Earth and the universe.
