The Masai Mara is a park reserve situated in southwestern Kenya, essentially serving as the northern continuation of the Serengeti National Park game reserve in Tanzania. The park reserve is named for the Masai people, who traditionally inhabited the area, and the Mara River, which divides the reserve. The Masai Mara is famous for its huge quantity of game and for the immense annual migration of zebra, gazelle, and wildebeest.
