Skagway is a borough in Alaska that is located on the Alaska Panhandle. It was incorporated as a city in 1900 but was re-incorporated as a borough in 2007. While the year-round population is a small 862 people, more than 900,000 visitors come to Skagway during the summer tourist season, as the city is a popular stop for cruise ships and shopping in general.
