Pointe-des-Monts, Quebec, is most well-known for its natural beauty as well as for its lighthouse. The lighthouse has become a relatively popular tourist destination in the area, as the view from the lighthouse keeper’s house allows one to see whales, seals, and ducks. The lighthouse holds great significance in Quebec’s maritime history, built in 1830 and designated a historical monument in 1965.
