Torquay is an Australian township facing the Bass Strait and it is best known as the gateway to the Great Ocean Road, one of Australia’s best-known scenic coastline drives. The township is most famous for its surf beaches, most notably the world famous Bells Beach which is situated in the town’s southwestern outskirts. From January to February is when Torquay experiences the largest boom in tourists thanks to Australia’s school holidays.
