The Great Ocean Road is a 150 mile stretch of road that runs along the southeastern coast of Australia between the cities of Torquay and Warrnambool. The road was originally constructed as a means to give work to returning soldiers and its was dedicated as a memorial to those who lost their lives in the First World War. Today, the road is known as one of the great scenic coastline drives of Australia and perhaps much of the world.
