Western Cape is a province of South Africa located in the southwestern portion of the country. The province is distinguished by its extremely diverse topography, with much of the province dominated by the Cape Fold Belt, a sandstone mountain range. The valleys created by these mounts are known for being abundantly fertile, allowing these dramatic juxtapositions of verdant farmlands and imposing mountains throughout much of Western Cape.
