The Chitwood Covered Bridge, most commonly referred to as the Yaquina River Covered Bridge, is located on Oregon’s Highway 20 near Corvallis. While the Chitwood Covered Bridge was once surrounded by several stores, a post office, and other amenities, the area is now largely dormant. The Chitwood Covered Bridge was renovated in the 1980s and has now become a favorite for visitors to this part of Oregon.
