The Adler Planetarium & Astronomy Museum, located in Chicago, Illinois, was founded and built in 1930 by philanthropist Max Adler. Declared a national historic landmark in 1987, the Adler Planetarium is one part of Chicago’s Museum Campus, along with the Shedd Aquarium and the Field Museum of Natural History. Throughout the years, the planetarium has become a favorite among Chicago natives and tourists alike.
