Ranakpur is a relatively small village located in western India, but it is home to one of the most stunning sights in the world, a grand Jain temple. The temple is supported by 1,444 intricately detailed marble pillars and can be easily recognized by its distinctive domes and cupolas from its façade. Although the temple has not been dated with complete certainty, most estimates place the temple as having been built anywhere from the 14th century to the 15th century.
