Preikestolen, also known in English as Preacher’s Pulpit or Preacher’s Rock, stands almost 2,000 feet over Lysefjord. It is one of Norway’s most famous tourist attractions, as the top of the cliff is almost flat and it provides a stunning view of some of Norway’s most beautiful scenery. Preikestolen draws almost 100,000 visitors each summer.

Preikestolen is an amazing place, that’s for sure. Preikestolen is located right outside Stavanger where I live so I have been there quite a few times over the years. The best picture I have from the place is this http://gardkarlsen.com/preikestolen/alone_on_preikestolen.jpg . I took a Canadian visitor there and we went early in the morning and we were the first ones to arrive
But there are also other great places in the area…such as Kjerag: http://gardkarlsen.com/kjerag/jone_gard_kjeragbolten.jpg

Gard
