Tasiilaq is the most populous town in Eastern Greenland and has become somewhat popular as a place to go in order to see the beautiful Northern Lights. Also known as aurora borealis, the lights are world-famous as one of the most unbelievable displays of nature. Greenland is about as far north as civilization has gone and it enjoys the Northern Lights whenever they occur.
