Columbus is the capital city of Ohio and has a population in the metro area of approximately 1.8 million people. According to numerous publications, Columbus is one of the best large cities to reside in the United States. Founded in 1812, the city was named after Christopher Columbus. Four years later, it officially became Ohio’s capital.
