Catalina Island is a popular destination for many activities, including shark diving. Blue sharks (known as Makos) are common in the waters near Catalina Island. You may also see Horn sharks, as well as other varieties. With daily boat departures to Catalina Island from Dana Point, Long Beach and San Pedro, it’s an easy trip to make when you are visiting Southern California.
