One of the most luxurious hotels on earth, the the Burj Al Arab Hotel is in the United Arab Emirates’ city of Dubai. With more than 200 rooms that feature countless amenities, the hotel claims to be the only 7-star hotel in the world. Completed in 1999, construction costs were estimated at $645 million.

I booked afternoon tea at the Burj al Arab as the cheapest way to get in, and didn’t get in because all I had was a pair of jeans. It was quite disheartening, yet still great to see from the outside!
It was good to see the Burj Al Arab participating in Earth hour and proving its position as one of the world’s top landmarks!
