Key West is the southernmost city in the United States located on the tip of Florida, and is only 94 miles from Cuba. Natives born in the area refer to themselves as “conchs”, people who have migrated and have lived there for more than seven years are known as “freshwater conchs”. There is a daily tradition to meet each night in Mallory Square for the Sunset Cellebration, where everyone watches the sunset hoping to see a flash of green.
