In today’s day and age, flying commercials means that you need to be aware of every fee that may be charged. Like many airlines, Jet Blue is now charging to check luggage. That being said, there fees are a bit different than others so you need to make sure that you know what you are getting into. After all, these fees may prompt you to choose one airline over another.
Right now, Jet Blue allows each passenger to check one bag free of charge. This works out fine for most because one bag is all that they need. But what if you need to check two or more?
For one additional bag of standard size, Jet Blue tacks on a fee of $35. If you need to check three or more bags on a Jet Blue flight, each additional one is going to be subject to a fee of $75 per bag.
Additionally, you should also be aware that Jet Blue charges up to a $100 fee for overweight bags and $75 for an oversized bag.
Although Jet Blue has added fees for checking luggage, they are on the same track as every other airline. With the ability to check one standard sized bag for free, most passengers will never have to deal with excess charges.
