Flying US Airways means that you need to be aware of baggage restrictions, luggage charges, and carry on policies. Just like every airline, they have policies that you must adhere to. It is better to be aware of US Airways baggage than to be surprised at check-in.
US Airways assesses a $15 fee for a passengers’ first checked bag. This policy took place in July of 2008, and will be in effect until further notice. Second checked bags will be assessed a fee of $25. These fees only hold true for bags that weigh less than 50 pounds. Bags that are bigger than this will be charged an overweight luggage fee.
Additionally, bags that are larger than 62 inches (length + width + height) will be charged a fee of $100. Any bag that is larger than 80 inches must be sent via Sports Express. If you are unsure of how to ship a bag of this size, contact US Airways before arriving at the airport.
US Airways allows each passenger to carry on one personal item and one bag. All carry on bags must be stowed under a seat or in an overhead compartment. Bags must be no larger than 11 x 14 x 26 inches.
This is a basic breakdown of US Airways baggage restrictions, luggage charges, and carry on policy.
