Oregon’s spectacular, rugged coastline is reason enough to visit that area, but the Salishan Spa & Golf Resort makes enjoying the scenery and the beauty of the Pacific Northwest all that much more memorable.

About the Salishan Resort
The Salishan Resort, located about 95 miles south of Portland on the central Oregon coast, combines rustic elegance with spectacular scenery. You can do as little or as much as you’d like here, with everything framed by the view of the craggy coast.

Accommodations at the Salishan Resort include 205 guest rooms and three suites. All rooms feature luxury linens, a gass fireplace, an MP3-compatible radio, wireless Internet access, and a balcony. Suites feature fantasy granite bathrooms, one with a two-person walk-in shower; a separate living and dining area; a wood-burning fireplace; and a wet bar.

Facilites
Facilities at the Salishan Resort include a championship 18-hole golf course, a newly-opened European-style spa, an indoor climate-controlled swimming pool, and a organized kids club. The resort has two dining rooms–a casual eatery and a fine dining restaurant, both featuring the cusine of the Pacific Northwest–and a 10,000-bottle wine cellar.

Other Things to Do in the Area
If the resort offerings are not enough, there are plenty of attractions within a short drive of the resort. Highway 101, along the coast, is lined with small towns, offering an array of antique stores, book shops, and eateries. There’s also a nearby winery–the Flying Dutchman. Sports options include fly-fishing, ATV tours, kayakings, boating, and canoeing along the inland rivers. For families, the Oregon Coast Aquarium is just a short distance away in Newport.
