Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom is a great amusement and water park located near Allentown, Pennsylvania that boasts a large number of thrilling roller coaster rides, children’s attractions, and one of the largest water parks in the country. With all that is has to offer, Dorney Park is one of the most popular amusement parks on the East Coast, serving as a popular family destination for visitors from Philadelphia and New York City, which are both less than 90 miles away.

Popular rides in the Dorney Park amusement area include:

HYDRA The Revenge
The first and only floorless roller coaster in Pennsylvania, HYDRA flings riders upside-down as the train exits the station, then sends them screaming through the sky on more than a half-mile of coiling track.

Talon
Talon is both the tallest and longest inverted roller coaster in the Northeast. After ascending a 135-foot hill, riders are whisked through four inversions describes as a vertical loop, a zero-gravity roll, an Immelmann loop and a corkscrew.

Dominator
Dominator is a 200-foot tower containing two gravity-defying rides. While one tower unexpectedly blasts riders straight up 15 stories in the air before dropping them back down, the other slowly lifts its riders to a staggering 170 feet, then plummets them downward at faster-than-free-fall speeds. Fun!

While there are plenty of thrills and chills for adults, Dorney Park has lots of excitement for children as well. Kids will love spending time at Camp Snoopy, a 2-acre interactive play area packed with popular PEANUTS characters and assorted comic strip inspired attractions.

Aside from rides, talented artists, skilled crafters, fun and exciting midway games, video arcades, souvenir shops and more await your exploration. And with greater than 40 food locations throughout the ride and water parks, you are sure to find something yummy for everyone – even those on special diets.

Wildwater Kingdom

Dorney Park’s Wildwater Kingdom is one of the largest water parks in the country located within an amusement park. With over a dozen water rides and pools, it is the perfect summer attraction. The water park includes 22 water slides, three playlands for kids, a water funhouse, two tubing rivers, two wave pools and other water rides. Aqua Racer, a six-lane mat racing water slide, was added in 2007.

For the kids, Wildwater Kingdom has three distinct areas which encompass 16 mini water slides, bubbling fountains, geysers, water squirters and more.

In addition to the rides and water attractions, Dorney Park is home to several musical reviews including:

Rewind – Enjoy a mesmerizing musical journey through songs of the present and favorites of the past.

Pulse – A mecca of talented singers, dancers and musicians for your excitement.

Boogie Down Band! – A world-renowned, high-energy, seven-piece band with expertly choreographed moves and comedic skits – a definite MUST SEE!

Peanuts Camp Snoopy Show – Have a great time with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the gang, singing and dancing away.

Looks like a pretty fun place, doesn’t it? Take plenty of photos if you go and have a great time.
