Six Flags Magic Mountain is an amusement park located at Valencia, California, just north of Los Angeles. Magic Mountain is an ideal destination when traveling with your family in Southern California.
Magic Mountain Thrill Rides
If you are looking for thrill rides, Magic Mountain is home to some of the fastest, wildest rides in the United States. With 15 thrill rides and all, you will find something for everyone.
One of the premiere thrill rides at Magic Mountain is Batman The Ride which tops out at 50 mph and soars 105 feet off the ground. If you like roller coasters that go upside down, choose Viper. This ride has seven amazing head-over-heels inversions.
For old school fun, take a trip on Colossus. This classic dual-track wooden coaster is huge - over 1,600 feet from end to end. On the ride there are 14 hills, including two drops of more than 100 feet each.
Magic Mountain Family Fun
If you have younger children, they can enjoy the adventures of Magic Mountain as well. Join Bugs Bunny and many other Looney Tunes characters around the park. Ride on some of the funniest children’s rides in the country, including Elmer’s Weather Balloons and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party.
The whole family will also enjoy concerts, stunt shows and other performances throughout the Six Flags Magic Mountain.
One of the most fun times of the year to visit Magic Mountain is around Halloween. Their Fright Fest features haunted houses, special concerts and much more scary fun.
As with most theme parks, you can find a lot of carnival type food at Magic Mountain, such as candy apples, hotdogs, popcorn, pizza and more.
In addition to snack bars, they also have several restaurants including Johnny Rocket’s, Katy’s Kettle and Mooseburger Lodge.
Magic Mountain Tickets
General admission to Magic Mountain is $59.99 for adults. However, you can oftentimes get drastically discounted rates from buying your tickets on their website. Many times these tickets are under $30.
Kids under 48″ are $29.99 and those two-years-old and younger are free.
Standard parking is $15. RVs are $25 and valet parking is $30.

The park is open every day throughout the summer. It is closed weekdays during the school year, except for special events and holidays. Visit sixflags.com/magicmountain for hours.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is located at 26101 Magic Mountain Parkway in Valencia, California. The park can be reached at (661) 255-4100. From Interstate 5 North from Los Angeles, exit Magic Mountain Parkway.
Hurricane Harbor, the waterpark which is adjacent to Magic Mountain requires separate admission, or you can purchase a 2-park combo ticket for $69.99.
Lodging Near Magic Mountain
If you are looking to stay near Magic Mountain, you can choose from a variety of hotels in the area. Holiday Inn Express and Hilton Garden Inn are located right next to the park. You can also find a variety of other hotels in the area, including Best Western, Courtyard Marriott and several others.
