Experience the Best Beaches in Miami!

If the winter Olympics didn’t give you anything except the chills and an irrefutable desire to get to the tropics as soon as possible, here’s a list of Miami’s top beaches for those who want to escape the winter.

• For Solitude -Virginia Key Beach: if your idea of perfection is to chillax on a quiet beach with nothing but a good book and your own thoughts, then Virginia Key beach is for you. It has restrooms, picnic areas and some of the best and most reasonably priced smoked fish in town at a place called Jimbo’s.

• For Shopping – South Beach: parallel to the iconic Ocean Drive, this beach is a favorite for people watching and for those who want to stay close to the action. Ocean drive is famous for its fine dining, shopping and stylish boutiques for dresses.

• For Avoiding Tan Lines – Haulover Beach: the best beach for nude sunbathing in Miami. The north end is allocated for nude sunbathing, and lifeguards patrol the beach all day to ensure the safety and security of the people. The south end is friendly for all people, whether they wish to surf, swim or just take it easy.

• For Scenery –Bill Baggs State Park: considered one of the United States top 10 beaches, the park is hidden away at the southern tip of Key Biscayne, and is a favorite for families and fishermen alike. A great place for activities, the beach offers bike rentals, nature trails, a seawall for fishing along with picnic tables, BBQs and restaurants.
