It seems only fitting in Las Vegas to be able to putt with Tiger Woods, shoot a scene with Cameron Diaz, and marry George Clooney all in one location. In fact, all of that is possible–sort of–and more at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, located inside the Venetian Hotel and Casino along the Las Vegas Strip.
Some of the other things you can experience in this family-friendly museum are singing in front of American Idol judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, shooting hoops with Shaquille O’Neal, and exploring the moon with astronauts, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin. Of course, there are scores of other celebrities there to meet, also. Favorites include Princess Diana, Elvis, John Wayne, and dare-devil, Evel Knievel. There’s just something fun about a wax museum.
Madame Tussaud’s, a branch of the famous London museum of the same name, is located on the ground level of the Venetian Hotel and Casino. It’s open seven days a week, although the hours vary. Adult admission is $25; seniors (60+) are $18; and those 18 and younger are $15.
While at the Venetian Hotel you can also take a Gondola ride along the resort’s canals, complete with a singing gondolier; take in a performance of the popular Blue Man Group; and explore the many treasures along the cobblestone paths of the Grand Canal Shoppes arcade.
