Chamonix, a small town in eastern part of France, is inhabited by a population of less than 10,000 residents. But the skiing in the area is known around the world. The popularity can be traced back to 1924 when the Winter Olympics were held in the city. Chamonix is home to six ski areas that can used for both skiing and snowboarding. There are also a number of luxury ski resorts within driving distance of Chamonix.

The Office of Tourism in Chamonix has an official website where you can go to book your stay. Simply go to the website’s accommodation page and you will see information about apartments, chalets and hotels in the area. You can even buy individual or family liftpasses or rent ski gear directly from the website.
