There are a huge number of things to do on Vancouver Island in British Colombia, and while lots of them are great for summer vacations, it’s a great place to visit all year round. Some of the key attractions include:

Fall Colours

Visiting the Royal British Colombia Museum in Victoria – three galleries portray the history of British Colombia and there’s also the National Geographic IMAX theater.
Strolling through the famous Butchart Gardens, with its 55 acres of flowers, fountains, streams and lawn.
Looking at the Whale Centre Maritime Museum in Tofino, or going on a whale-watching cruise nearby.
Discovering the historical roots of the areas First Nations by looking at the totem poles found in Thunderbird Park or in the town of Duncan.
Getting to know llamas at one of the forty or so llama farms to be found on Vancouver Island.
Relaxing in the natural hot springs at Hot Springs Cove or the Ahousat Hot Springs.
Going fishing in either a fresh water or a salt water environment.
Taking a tour around the Vancouver Island vineyards, which make up one of the fastest growing wine areas around.
Looking for grizzly bears on a bear viewing tour, provided by many tour companies in combination with fishing or kayaking.
