If you are going to buy a ticket for a Continental flight you need to be aware of the airline’s policies and luggage fees. These fees are becoming more common in today’s airline industry, and it is important to know how they will affect you.
Continental does not allow you to check any bags free of charge. Instead, your first bag is assessed a fee of $25 and your second $35. What if you have three or more bags that need checked? In this case, you will be charged a fee of $100 for each additional bag. As you can see, you would be much better off only traveling with two bags if possible.
Additionally, you may also run into fees for overweight and oversized bags. Bags larger than 62 inches when adding the length, width, and height are charged a fee up to $200 per piece. Any bag larger than 115 inches cannot be checked.
