Business travel means different things to different people. For those who travel on weekly basis, it can be tiresome and grueling dealing with airline security restrictions, delayed flights, stale airport food, cramped seats and we haven’t even gotten to what you deal with when you arrive at your meeting. However, if you travel on a less frequent basis, it can be an opportunity to visit cities that you wouldn’t ordinarily travel to on vacation. Cities like New York, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are obvious choices for those seeking to “play hard” after working hard. On the flip side, what if you need to travel to somewhere like Sacramento? It’s not really known for much other than being the State Capitol of California. However, it’s the gateway to spectacular places like Yosemite National Park and Lake Tahoe. Or perhaps, you are traveling somewhere a bit remote in the middle of nowhere. Why not let the spirit of Clark Griswold inspire you to seek out the world’s largest ball of twine? Surely, the town has had its 15 minutes of fame at some point along the way. Getting out and about during your trip will be a much more rewarding that catching up on the latest realty TV shows. When someone else is footing the bill for your travels, you may as well take full advantage and see as much as you can.
